The information collected through the Layers mobile app is done solely for the purpose of providing the required features and service to the individual user of the app and will not be shared or disclosed to any other parties. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected through the app to provide you the required services rendered.1. How information is collected and usedPersonal profile information. When an account is created, we may collect personal information that you submit, such as your username, first and last name and email address. Your photo will be stored in the server if you choose to have your photo linked to your account. If you choose to login via Facebook, personal information such as your name, email and profile picture will be collected.Address book contacts. After you have installed and launched the app, users who are in your address book will appear in the Members List, where you can add them as your contact. You can only start to chat with your contact only after he or she has accepted your request. You can also search and invite your contacts to use the Layers app.Messages. We collect information when you message any of your contacts.Geolocation data. The app’s geolocation feature allows close friends or family members within a group to locate one another’s location on a map. By default, all your personal geolocation data is set to private. In order to share your realtime live location with your group members, you have to grant the app’s permission to access your geolocation data and enable your location to be shared with the specific group in the settings.2. Sharing of your informationGLABS SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. believe that personal privacy is of utmost importance. As such, we do not share your personal information with any third parties for advertising, research or analytic purposes.3. How we protect your informationGLABS SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. makes use of administrative and technological safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information that is collected. Every account created is linked to the user’s phone number and verified. Two users can only start communicating when one has added the other, and the other has accepted the request.In spite of all the necessary safeguards in place, no security system is 100% impenetrable. Do feedback to us if you come across any security loopholes. We will take the necessary steps to investigate and rectify the problem.4. Your choices about providing personal information and granting permissionsYou may choose to decline to submit any personal information or grant any permission, in which case you may not be able to enjoy Layers with its complete functions and features. For example, if you do not grant permission for Layers to access location data, your family members will not be able to find your location on the map and vice versa.5. Deleting your accountYou may request to delete your account at any time through the in-app delete my account feature. Within the Layers app, click 'more', then 'Feedback', followed by 'Delete My Account'. Once in effect, all user account information including user profile photo, email and phone number will be removed from the server and you will no longer be able to access any feature of the app.6. Changes to Our Privacy PolicyGLABS SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. may, in its sole discretion, modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we change this policy, we will update the ‘last modified’ date at the top of this page. If there are material changes to this Privacy Policy or how Layers will use your personal information, we will post a prominent notice of the updated version on our website or send you an email.7.
